AQRCB / Consignaction
Consignaction is the official brand of the deposit system in Quebec. It is the essential link for the recovery and recycling of deposit-refundable beverage containers, whether made of aluminum, plastic, glass, and soon multi-layer cardboard.
Its role is to promote the recovery of deposit-refundable beverage containers in Quebec among citizens and organizations and to facilitate their access to various recovery facilities, both inside and outside the home.
The AQRCB is the designated management organization (DMO) by the government (Recyc-Québec) to manage the deposit system for single- and multiple-fill beverage containers. The AQRCB is responsible for the development, implementation, financing, and management of the modernized deposit system based on the principle of extended producer responsibility (EPR).
The AQRCB acts on behalf of beverage producers involved in the recovery, reuse, recycling, and reclamation of beverage containers in Quebec.
